Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) assessments help to identify potentially harmful contaminants within a building that could affect the health and comfort of building occupants. Some of the pollutants may be comprised of microbial contaminants (mold, bacteria), chemicals (carbon monoxide, radon) or other allergens. Recent findings have demonstrated that indoor air is often more polluted than outdoor air, and sickness contracted from these pollutants is now commonplace. A properly functioning and maintained building reduces the occurrences of indoor air quality problems, thus reducing the negative impact of these contaminants to the health and well-being of the occupants. Indoor Air Quality Assesments are conducted to identify contributing conditions, and provide recommendations to help restore the building to a state of optimal functionality and health.
BATTA provides our clients with Indoor Air Quality Assessments that include the following components:
- Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Evaluations
- Airborne Contaminants
