
BATTA Environmental Associates, Inc. offers its clients comprehensive Geo-Environmental and Industrial Hygiene services. We also house a fully accredited laboratory capable of providing a variety of analytical services.
BATTA's Industrial Hygiene Services Group provides Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) consulting services including inspections, assessments, remediation project design and project management services for private and public sector clients throughout the mid-Atlantic region. IH Services also conducts Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Assessments and Remediation Projects for mold and other indoor contaminants, and conducts OSHA Safety Monitoring at hazardous waste sites during remedial activities.
The Geo-Environmental Services Group performs Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments, and Phase III Remediation. Other studies include Remedial Investigations/Feasibility Studies (RI/FS), Remedial Design/Remedial Action (RD/RA), and on-site construction oversight at Brownfield sites. Other specific capabilities include UST removals and closures, hydro-geologic investigations, landfill studies and design, and the design of soil and groundwater remediation systems. This group is active in Brownfield's Advisory Council of DNREC and has been involved in supporting development of technical regulations.
BATTA's fully accredited in-house analytical laboratory can provide the following analytical services:
- The examination of organic compounds in air, water and soil by gas chromatograph/mass spectroscopy (GC/MS)
- The examinations of inorganic compounds in air, water and soil by graphite atomic absorption (AA) and flame ionization detection
- Fibrous analysis in air, water and soil via PLM, PCM and TEM methods
