Our Industrial Hygiene Group continues to be involved with numerous hazardous materials projects for large capital projects and ongoing maintenance projects. BATTA provides assessments, design services, project management, construction and contract management, and air quality assurance monitoring. Asbestos services are provided through licensed Asbestos Investigators and Asbestos Project Inspectors. Licensed Project Designers provide remediation design and specifications. All laboratory work is conducted by Batta Laboratories, a licensed lab through the City’s Department of Public Health.
BATTA provides the District with AHERA services including 6-month Periodic Surveillances and 3-year Re-inspections of multiple buildings. The assessments, inspections and reporting have won praise from the District for the ability to continually complete them thoroughly and on time.
Lead services are provided on capital renovation projects. Using on-site XRF technology, BATTA’s lead risk assessors and inspectors provide lead-based paint testing and risk assessment services. The activities are completed to determine health hazards to occupants and for planning and design for remediation.
