BATTA is the Environmental Engineering consultant to SEPTA’s General Engineering Consultant (GEC) Team and our Geo-Environmental Group has been actively involved with a range of GEC task orders. Services have included Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, Wetlands Delineations, Archeological and Cultural Resource Evaluations, Phase II Investigations and Site Characterizations for redevelopment. BATTA has assisted the Project Team in the establishment of environmental concerns and existence of jurisdictional wetlands for parking lot expansion projects. Our group has provided subsurface soil and groundwater testing and sampling, tank tightness testing, and hazardous materials surveys in support of bus garage expansion facilities. We are also actively involved with the planning and completion of a Site Characterization study for a 25+ acre Brownfields property being pursued for redevelopment. Currently we are involved with subsurface evaluations and recommendations for storm water infiltration and site re-development of a bus turnaround facility.
