Transportation
The needs for qualified Environmental Service within the Transportation Sector are ever growing. No Transportation Improvement or Enhancement Project is completed without some facet of Environmental Testing, Consulting and/or Engineering Services. BATTA is ready and equipped to provide the technical resources and knowledge to keep transportation agencies in compliance. We have been providing environmental services to diverse major transportation outlets such as SEPTA, Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT), and Maryland Aviation Administration (MAA), and State Highway Administration of Maryland (SHA).
On many transportation projects we find all our Groups integrated somewhere in the design and construction phases. Our Industrial Hygiene and Geo-Environmental Groups will perform required environmental sampling and testing to feed into the overall design phase. Many times this will involve pre-demolition assessments for hazardous materials and Phase I, II Environmental Assessments for Recognized Environmental Concerns. We maintain strong alliances with Cultural and Archeological Resource firms to assist agencies with NEPA and Historical Preservation Compliance.
During construction we are called upon to monitor environmental remediation activities in front of future renovations. Monitoring and Testing requirements can be as diverse as the nature of contaminant and BATTA is always ready and equipped with the tools and instruments to keep construction workers and the environment safe.
