Environmental Chemist
Batta Laboratories, Inc. (BATTA) has immediate opening for a motivated and self driven Environmental Chemist with “Hands On” experience in using instruments such as Flame Atomic Absorption (AA) and Graphite Furnace (GFAA) for the detection of lead and other metals in air, water, soil. Bench chemistry and wet chemistry knowledge is also required. Experience with other instruments such as GC with FID/PID, ECD detectors, GC/MS would be preferred. The candidate must be familiar with common EPA methods for analysis of environmental pollutants in matrices such as air, soil, water. The successful candidate will also have experience in establishing QA/QC protocols and working within those protocols.
- Position Requirements
- A minimum of a BS degree preferably in Chemistry with 1-3 yrs laboratory experience is required. Preference will be given to candidates with a higher degree and supervisory experience.
