BATTA Awarded DuPont Contractor Safety Excellence Award

Batta Environmental has been awarded the 2008 Contractor Safety Excellence Award from DuPont Facilities Services and Real Estate.  This award is presented to contractors who demonstrate outstanding safety, health and environmental performance.  It is given by the Global Director of DuPont Facilities Services and Real Estate.

BATTA is very proud to be a multi-year recipient of this award.  This is a testament to our staff who manages DuPont environmental projects and a reflection of our corporate respect for safety, health, and the environment.  BATTA sincerely thanks DuPont for their continued recognition of our performance.

BATTA Awarded CIH Services Contract for Wilmington VA Facility

Batta Environmental has been awarded a contract with the Wilmington, DE VA Medical Center for CIH Services related to Asbestos projects.  This IDIQ contract will provide professional environmental consulting/testing services for VA projects at the Elsmere, DE facility.  This award highlights positives on two fronts.  It adds to BATTA’s Federal Market portfolio and the award has come through BATTA’s GSA Contract. 

BATTA looks forward to providing our consulting and testing knowledge to create safe environments for one of our most respected customers…our Veterans.

BATTA Laboratories Awarded Lead Dust Wipe Analytical Contract

Batta Laboratories has been awarded a contract with the City of Philadelphia for Lead Dust Wipe Analytical Services.  The laboratory services support the Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program for the City Department of Public Health’s efforts to identify and clean residences with elevated and hazardous lead dust levels.

Batta Laboratories will be called upon to perform dust clearance analyses within 24 hours and analyses for risk assessments/inspections.

A total of 18,000+ samples are expected for the first year and Batta is ready and geared up to deliver!

BATTA Attends 2008 ASTM Johnson Conference

Naresh Batta, President and CEO along with Dr. Bo Li, Laboratory Manager attended the 2008 ASTM Johnson Conference at the University of Vermont in Burlington.  The conference focuses on Critical Issues in Monitoring Asbestos with topics and papers on issues such as “Risk Management versus Risk Assessment”, “Analysis of Asbestos in Soils”, “Quality Assurance”, “Dose Response and Health Risks.”

BATTA has taken part in previous ASTM Johnson Conferences as these have continually served as a forum for asbestos issues.  The Conference is always well suited for presentation and discussion of developing issues/topics and provides for exchanges of ideas that have shaped many of the asbestos monitoring methods and strategies used today.
